Necropolis News: RIP Karen Black (1939 – 2013)

Today marks a sad occasion as actress Karen Black passed away after her battle with a rare form of cancer called ampullary cancer.  She was 74 years old.

Karen Black has won and was nominated for numerous awards during her career including 2 Golden Globe wins and an Academy Award nomination.  She has made a number of appearances in the horror world, including such movies as “Trilogy of Terror,”  “Burnt Offerings,” “Children of the Corn IV,” “House of 1000 Corpses,” and recently Full Moon’s “Ooga Booga,” just to name a few.  Her contributions to cinema will always be cherished.
