Hello my fellow Horrorati. It’s been a while since I did an update. That’s mainly because for a while there was nothing new that was really worth making an update post about. So i decided to wait until enough things happened to make it a decent sized post.
Some of you may have already noticed that the web address has changed as of February, now without the .wordpress attached. It may not seem like a major upgrade to some, but to me it’s a step in the right direction, and it shows I’m taking this site seriously. Also, I added an email address in my ‘About Me’ post, for your comments, requests, love/hate mail needs. it’s firstname.lastname@example.org
Last month I also had my first book review for The Complete History of Return Of The Living Dead. I’ve been meaning to do book reviews for a long time, but I didn’t intend to take so long to start. Though I love reading, I don’t actually own that many books, preferring instead to buy movies. With that, I’ll do a book review probably once a month or so, maybe more if I get around to buying more books, or getting off my ass and going to a library. And a few volumes of horror comics as well.
Nearly a week ago I started up a Facebook page for the Necropolis Macabre. I wasn’t really planning to do that at first, but a fellow reviewer persuaded me to do so, and I’m doing my best to post things there regularly. The link to the page can be found on the sidebar here at the NM site. But I’ll also post it here if you’re interested. I also added a link to my Instagram account, which I don’t use as much as some people do, but there are some pics there that will occupy your time for a minute. Finally, there is the addition of the Donate button. Please, please, please do not feel obligated to ever press that button. The only reason it’s there is because I threw a little money into the blog, and I may do so again down the road. Before that I spent zero dollars on my blog, so it was not even a consideration.
And in either April or May I plan to dedicate the entire month reviewing movies from a specific country. The country I’ve chosen is one of my favorite places for horror — Japan. Along with reviews I’ll spend a little time talking about some of the folklore there involving scary creatures and any strange tales that catch my eye. Well, that’s all I got for now. A new review is coming up soon, so keep an eye out. Farewell.
